| Mastic asphalt / bitumen mastic as an overlay is dustless, odourless, jointless and is impervious to the transmission of moisture either in liquid or vapour form. Plastic asphalt poured and trawled by hand, has been widely used for various purposes. Mastic asphalt has a long and succesful history of a wide range of users as road surfacing medium, bridge decking layer and traffic junctions etc. And variou sother allied special jobs. It is suitable when properly designed for variety of uses under wide range of climatic and service conditions. Mastic asphalt is basically a composition of suitably graded mineral matter and bituminous cement in such proportion as t form a coherent, voldless, impermeable mass. It is hard at normal temperatuers, but sufficiently fluid when heated at around 180`c for easy spreading by hand tools. Mastic asphalt generally requires little maintenance. In case of damage or wear on any area occurs it can be easily relaid and matched to the adjoining area leaving behind a homogeneous and jointless surface. Asphalt corporation pvt. Ltd.
